Sure, go on. Less work for me :)

Due to time restrictions I couldn't follow monotone development as close
as I'd wish in the last months.
I wanted to wait for the new changeset (or whatever it's named)
infrastructure to settle before providing packages.
And I really wanted to use more debian libraries, which could be
possible with sqlite 3.

I'll send patches if there's something in your package that I don't like ;)

This ITP seem to have been dormant for a very long time. I need it
to move forward and get the monotone package into unstable. I am
willing to spend time on active maintenance of this package. I am
already using monotone myself, I have good knowledge in C++ (the
implementation language) and I have been using other version control
systems (CVS, RCS, SCCS) for many years.

I have been in contact with the upstream creator and main developer,
Graydon Hoare. He is a former debian developer and already provides
a debian package at www.venge.net/monotone. I have his approval to
take this package in it's current state and do what's necessary to
get it into unstable.

I want to move forward on this now. Do I have Martin and Matt's
approval to become the active maintainer of this package?

Regards,

I don't think my opinion matters much, since I've already handed
monotone to Martin, but as far as I'm concerned, you're welcome to
package monotone.
