As simple user, I'd really appreciate a packaging of php-mdb2, which
depreciates the actual php-db.

I have no news from Mark or maybe I missed one of its mail. Since we are
in the process of releasing Lenny, this is not a priority now but I hope
that we will have mdb2 package after Lenny. I need them as well for
another package.
