Bug#378491: xserver-xorg-video-i810: Rendering error when marking text in firefox
Package: xserver-xorg-video-i810 Version: 1:1.5.1.0-2 Severity: normal When I switched from the vesa driver to the i810 driver I got a reproducible rendering error in Firefox. The problem occurred on for example the page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Terrestrial_planet&action=edit§ion=1 I am using an external LCD monitor on a laptop with an 910GML integrated video chip. I looked at my current testing output: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg$ Xorg -version X Window System Version 7.0.0 Release Date: 21 December 2005 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 7.0 Build Operating System:Linux 2.6.16-1-vserver-amd64-k8 x86_64 Current Operating System: Linux remaxp 2.6.14.6-grsec-cz02 #1 Sun Jun 18 09:35:5 4 CEST 2006 x86_64 Build Date: 16 March 2006 Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version. Module Loader present and see that my server was build *before* the date of the report. Since I did not see a bug report [3] on this nor did I find anything in /usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg, I report this here to track this for Etch. I am not sure about the severity, please coordinate if an update Etch security is necessary. Furthermore I did not see an DSA for Sarge[4], if Sarge is not vulnerable then please remember to update the appropriate list[5] accordingly. Bug#362294: xfonts-base-transcoded: still installs in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/ instead of /usr/share/fonts/X11/
The transcoded fonts seem to have been merged into xfonts-base, so it's safe to remove the xfonts-base-transcoded package (which doesn't exist in testing or unstable). I think this bug should be closed; I'll do so myself if I don't hear from the maintainers in a few days. -- A true pessimist won't be discouraged by a little success. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#378464: xserver-xorg: CVE-2006-1526
Package: xserver-xorg Version: 1:7.0.22 Severity: important Tags: security patch Back in may CVE-2006-1526 was reported [1] and fixed [2]. Possibly a fix can be taken from the Ubuntu USN[4]. I am not sure about the severity, please coordinate if an update Etch security is necessary. Furthermore I did not see an DSA for Sarge[5], if Sarge is not vulnerable then please remember to update the appropriate list[6] accordingly. Bug#366114: xserver-xorg-video-ati: Issue persists: RV100 + DRI enabled = sys.wide freeze
Package: xserver-xorg-video-ati Version: 1:6.5.8.0-1 Followup-For: Bug #366114 Michel, Comments at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6429 provided me with a soultion for this. Building xf86-video-ati-X11R7.1-6.6.0.tar.gz and replacing ati_drv.so and radeon_drv.so from the 1:6.5.8.0-1 package with these fixed the issue. Of interest is that I have a PCI variant of the card and no AGP support on my motherboard so this may rule out AGP related issues.
