This lets the compositor start up faster, since we can load the gl-renderer and initialize EGL+GLES2 later in the startup - Support framebuffer formats other than XRGB (gbm-format config value under [core] section). - Use logind for privileged access. logind can now do the this that weston-launch used to do: drm drop/set master and opening input devices. With this, weston can run on KMS without the weston-launch setuid helper. - struct weston_surface split into struct weston_surface and struct weston_view. This is a weston-internal feature, that makes it possible to display a surface in multiple places in the compositor. - Better output unplug handling. We used to crash and in general not handle output (monitor) unplug at all. We now clean up properly and move windows back into the visible region when their output is unplugged. - Keyboard focus animation and exposay (exposé-like window picker) - More touch screen support, including touch-to-move and touch-to-activate for surfaces, touch screen drag-and-drop - Started work on xdg-shell protocol. The xdg-shell is a more format attempt at developing a protocol for the interaction between applications and a desktop environmet. The wl_shell protocol currently in wayland was always only a place-holder to help boot-strap toolkit support. Now that GNOME Shell is moving to Wayland, we have a full-featured desktop to drive the work and we can start the effort in earnest - Nested compositor buffer pass-through. We specified a new EGL extension to allow a nested compositor to pass buffers through to the underlying compositor. This lets the nested compositor skip rendering and instead present the contents using a subsurface or such in the underlying compositor - Crop and scale protocol. This protocol, which we're initially staging in weston, lets a client specify that a only sub-rectangle of it's surface should be presented, and potentially scaled up. - weston-terminal gained scrollback history, use Ctrl+Shift UP/DOWN to scroll. Added a context menu for easy access to copy/paste/new terminal (which have always been available as Ctrl-Shift-C/V/N) * d/control: update + bump standards version + build depend on librsvg2-bin for PNG file generation. + add build dependency against libxcb-composite0-dev for build + add build-dependency against libxcb-xkb-dev (Closes: #733229) + add build-dependency against libpango1.0-dev for the editor * d/weston.install: update + drop weston-tablet-shell + add gl-renderer + add clients Checksums-Sha1: 526f75700f199df265a0ef045f63a34982827722 2469 weston_1.4.0-1.dsc 49b0b6d5e2366a7bad5158b29998213e5ca7f254 709808 weston_1.4.0.orig.tar.xz a4f4cd695500c381d9deb480712cc9a470081770 12988 weston_1.4.0-1.debian.tar.xz 0a6e333ee1b209e7f056df9b61975db449a383e4 557152 weston_1.4.0-1_amd64.deb Checksums-Sha256: 69c0049516ee100809e2629f41443405c19a77d2ddff9013e977e288c1c261da 2469 weston_1.4.0-1.dsc 74a2319d98e9cdb1acf24659699719aa89ac268cf549759271e326edc5f9ed64 709808 weston_1.4.0.orig.tar.xz b75dfa8e7d607579299dde96a9962a0d1fa7141c70d82fb6e62f2b1013797487 12988 weston_1.4.0-1.debian.tar.xz 26dc062101614242b9f7e55bed91967bdb970ba4e2f1b23f92291561e9166bc4 557152 weston_1.4.0-1_amd64.deb Files: 41020ac3afb6036ae7bbb692908bdd52 2469 x11 optional weston_1.4.0-1.dsc 4438d2b1f3c9ba9a4a2b10d89fac6fd0 709808 x11 optional weston_1.4.0.orig.tar.xz 307ac4788c0e8b5b6a8f367b64671fea 12988 x11 optional weston_1.4.0-1.debian.tar.xz 51ecea9f826a01795c61d43d8f9bfd56 557152 x11 optional weston_1.4.0-1_amd64.deb -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJS6ukpAAoJEK8ig6p24qx7tHIP/2L9PKaAsmXtYjEd/gBTTtki SXEGo2LyK+8pVYqtlm8kHQCuqSpwlkMp5taa0EyIehAmZFf9tl81B2NWxXZi4kIn l7GL3hmF8bGO9rc9p97QCmBOvdlEmsYRfwr2VMVSjydO7JLDkAcTEejrYCSBUp98 Vm0QyAN9WBxV3AowIQ8fTSah1OCIlU8wzzsTAg4XvMX/yCeCA0D+X6MNl6tAXCVu 44eaQcdYcnaottDp/32PJ92wD+YiFGaYfXGiBsmdYAY120bOztWwoGvy1kDRNUyv YICRb0OMJUkOaxyxh8+Jlsd0pibL/k6vTsYsSazUIKLW6QMC6IUwbVSmvAUPkkem j7qcuHDtxEN5vKuOSn/TqzXy

This is a weston-internal feature, that makes it possible to display a surface in multiple places in the compositor. - Better output unplug handling. We used to crash and in general not handle output (monitor) unplug at all. We now clean up properly and move windows back into the visible region when their output is unplugged. - Keyboard focus animation and exposay (exposé-like window picker) - More touch screen support, including touch-to-move and touch-to-activate for surfaces, touch screen drag-and-drop - Started work on xdg-shell protocol. weston: Changes to 'upstream-unstable'
New branch 'upstream-unstable' available with the following commits: commit 181131253747500c4759a117ee312262fbb6ed19 Author: Kristian Høgsberg Date: Thu Jan 23 20:51:40 2014 -0800 configure.ac: Bump version to 1.4.0 commit b3955b095317466afd05b474666eef938b7f72d0 Author: Kristian Høgsberg Date: Thu Jan 23 16:25:06 2014 -0800 compositor-drm: Set cursor surface to NULL when pageflip fails If we VT switch away between picking a cursor surface and actually doing the pageflip in drm_output_repaint(), we never set output->cursor_view to NULL. Then we unplug all the input devices and as the last pointer device goes away we destroy the cursor surface. Then when we switch back, we call drm_output_set_cursor() with an invalid surface and crashes. Fixes: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73566 commit d500bf1ac990d0d776c7a444a7478d2c9bb0e8fd Author: Kristian Høgsberg Date: Wed Jan 22 12:25:20 2014 -0800 shell: Properly track the focus state surface We have to move the surface destroy listener around as we track the currently focused surface. These problems are the result of some wayland packages put together by collabora and shipped by the raspberry pi foundation as part of their default image (so they will be installed on the vast majority of raspbian systems). The packages in question are versioned as 1.1.0-0rpi1 and use a single libwayland0 package rather than the split packages. To fix the upgrade I uploaded a vesion of wayland to raspbian jessie with the conflicts/breaks changed from (<< 1.1.0) to (<< 1.1.0-1). If I have to I can carry that change locally on a permanent basis. However I would rather not do that for two reasons. 1: Version skew between debian and raspbian in multi-arch: same packages makes life harder for anyone who wants to multiarch debian armel with raspbian. 2: Each package we carry local changes for means manual work when the package is updated. So please consider making this change in the debian package on your next upload.
