Bug#845981: xserver-xorg: Desktop freezes

2016-11-27 Thread Michael Rasmussen
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.7+18
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After latest xserver-xorg upgrade the desktop constantly freezes. It was
working with 1:7.7+17. Symptom seems to be related to the lock file
(/tmp/.X0-lock) which in some way confuses the X server so it thinks another x
server is already running. I have downgraded to the version in stretch so the
log file below is replaced with Xorg.0.log provided by 1:7.7+18.

Bug#451977: xorg: After lastest upgrade HorizSync and VertRefresh no longer works

2007-11-19 Thread Michael Rasmussen
Package: xorg
Version: 1:7.3+6
Severity: important

When reading EDID from a connected monitors fails xorg no more uses the
manually provide HorizSync and VertRefresh which means that xorg will fall back
to the hardcoded 800x600 and not permit any higher resolution even if the
graphics card supports it and the user have added HorizSync and VertRefresh

Bug#363248: xserver-xorg: Configuring mouse not working

2006-04-18 Thread Michael Rasmussen
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.0.14
Severity: normal

When doing dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg you have two choices of mouse
driver: ImPS/2 and ExplorerPS/2. No matter which you choose the
configuration always ends up with ExplorerPS/2. Running dpkg-reconfigure
excessives times shows the default even if that its ImPS/2 but this does
not show up the xorg.conf
