[Bug 1390628] Re: Mouse pointer invisible after upgrade to Ubuntu 14.10 and 15.04

2015-05-31 Thread Ferdinand Prantl
I can confirm it: upgraded from 14.04 to 14.10 - no problem. Then
14.10 to 15.04 and reboot. Mouse pointer not visible. Reboot and
moving the mouse while logging in - mouse pointer appeared and stayed.

2015-05-31 Thread Vindicator
Public bug reported:

It used to work, but now I'm trying to associate gedit with a .contact (xml)
file and it won't switch from Google Chrome as the default.
Right-mouse on .contact file
Click Open-With
Select gedit (related applications)
Click Set as default
The highlighted selection switches to the current Default Application that is
Google-Chrome and doesn't switch to gedit.

[Bug 1460483] Re: File Properties Open-With Won't Set Default

2015-05-31 Thread Vindicator
The issue is with Google-Chrome.

I purged Chrome, rebooted and was able to set the default for the xml
file to gedit.

After installing chrome again, the same behavior of chrome stealing the
default and not allowing any change continued.

[Bug 1406802] Re: Vivid Unity Wallpaper horizontally hashed

2015-05-31 Thread jerrylamos
Booted 15.04 Mate .iso and the wallpaper was hashed. See attachment.

Installed Mate in another partition, booted, wallpaper hashed.

Rebooted, wallpaper O.K.

I suspect Mate 14.04 would be O.K. Have not tried it.

** Attachment added: Screenshot from .iso boot showing wallpaper hashed

[Bug 1076880] Re: network speed incorrectly reported in System Monitor using VPN

2015-05-31 Thread Andy Sayler
This also seems to be an issues in 15.04. The system monitor appears to
double network throughput when using a VPN (likely because its adding
the VPN interface throughput to the underlying wlan/eth interface
throughput, effectively double counting it). Confirmed with OpenVPN (via
Network Manager plugin) on Ubuntu 15.04.

[Bug 1460431] [NEW] Canon Powershot camera not working in Kubuntu 15.04, was working fine in Kubuntu 14.10

2015-05-31 Thread Simon Pepping
