[Bug 95037] Re: Spamassassin/bogofilter plugins should be disabled if spamassassin/bogofilter are not installed

2007-03-28 Thread Adam McMaster
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 37878 ***

I don't think that's the same bug...this isn't about one plugin stopping
the other from working, but rather how evolution should handle the
plugins (and the junk filtering options as a whole) when the
spamassassing/bogofilter backends are not installed.

[Bug 95037] Spamassassin/bogofilter plugins should be disabled if spamassassin/bogofilter are not installed

2007-03-23 Thread Adam McMaster
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Currently both the spamassassin and bogofilter plugins are enabled by
default, but neither spamassassin nor bogofilter is installed by
default. There is no indication from within Evolution that they are not
installed, and no indication that Evolution's built in junk filtering
isn't doing anything.

Both plugins should be disabled (and it should not be possible to enable
them) until either spamassassin or bogofilter is installed (there could
perhaps be an option to install them from within Evolution, as happens
when enabling shared folders without Samba/NFS installed).

Similarly, the Junk options in Evolution's preferences should be
hidden when no junk filtering plugin is enabled.

[Bug 85736] Available disk space shouldn't include removable media

2007-02-17 Thread Adam McMaster
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

The System tab includes a total of the available disk space on all
mounted disks. This makes sense for permanently mounted disks, but it
may be misleading to include removable media (e.g. usb disks) in this
total as they could disappear at any time. Anything mounted under
/media should be excluded from the total.

[Bug 85740] Title should be Control Centre in British translation

2007-02-17 Thread Adam McMaster

Centre in the en_GB translation. It is correct in the menu entry, but
the application's title bar still has the American spelling.

[Bug 85545] Sessions in new Control Center should be under Personal

2007-02-16 Thread Adam McMaster
Public bug reported:

Currently Sessions is under System in the control center. There's
nothing in there that modifies anything outside of the user's personal
preferences, so it would make more sense for it to be located under
Personal.

[Bug 85670] Unable to enable 3D mode

2007-02-16 Thread Adam McMaster
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-chess

When choosing 3D from the view menu, Gnome Chess displays a message
telling the user to ask their system administrator to install OpenGL
Python bindings and GtkGLExt Python bindings. This could be
confusing to less-experienced users. Gnome Chess should either depend
on the relevant packages, should offer to install them (in the same way
shares-admin offers to install Samba) or should hide the 3D option if it
is not usable.

[Bug 67349] Clearing search doesn't clear search results

2006-10-21 Thread Adam McMaster
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Please describe the problem:
When searching All Accounts while viewing a Search Folder, clicking the clear
search button (in the search box) does not clear the search results list and
return to the previously displayed folder.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on a search folder in the side bar.
2. Perform any search in All Accounts
3. Click the clear button

Actual results:
The side bar is reactivated like it should be, but the message list still
displays the search results. Window title is still All Account Search.

Expected results:
The message list should display the contents of the selected Search Folder.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

[Bug 61161] Evince takes a long time to render pages in PDF documents

2006-09-18 Thread Adam McMaster
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

When opening a PDF document, evince takes a long time to render each
page -- anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds per page. Before upgrading to
edgy this took only two or three seconds.

Specifically this happens with PDF documents from here:

[Bug 55534] Re: Select Folders in en_GB translation should read Search Folders

2006-08-07 Thread Adam McMaster
That's incorrect. A Search Folder is a virtual folder which displays
messages from all folders which match user-defined criteria. They are
referred to as Search Folders throughout the rest of the application,
except where they are displayed in the folder pane of the Mail
component. This error is not present in the US English translation.
