[Bug 230154] [NEW] gedit external tools crashes with text file > 128k
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit-plugins Using Gutsy, Gedit 2.20.3 and Hardy, Gedit 2.22.1 - load a text file over about 128k - invoke the built-in tool "tools-Remove trailing spaces" (or most any other sed or awk script) Gedit locks up, no failure log, have to kill Gedit. A workaround is to set "Input" in "External Tools Manager" to "Nothing" and instead use an "environment variable" as file name argument to sed, like this: sed 's/[[:blank:]]*$//' $GEDIT_CURRENT_DOCUMENT_NAME The problem seems to always occur when input is set to "Current document".
