[Bug 440635] [NEW] [ubuntu 9.10 beta] required icon themes missing for two included GNOME themes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I installed the Ubuntu 9.10 beta release using the desktop iso. Post installation I went to change my theme and found that icon sets for two of the included themes are missing. New Wave, Dust and Dust Sand are missing required icon themes. This results in an inconsistent theme when selected, as well as a reported error in the Appearance Preferences application. If these additional themes are going to be included they should be included in entirety. [Bug 440625] [NEW] [ubuntu 9.10 beta] keyboard layout (dvorak) does not apply post-installation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I installed Ubuntu 9.10 beta using the ubuntu-9.10-beta-desktop-i386.iso image (md5sum verified). During the installation I was asked for my keyboard layout, which I selected as USA - Dvorak. This layout applied and worked properly during the installation, but was not applied post- installation. I have tried changing the layout in System > Preferences > Keyboard by adding Dvorak and setting it as the default. I also tried the "Apply System-Wide..." button. While this seems to have changed the layout for my user account this does not affect the GDM layout. I must still login using qwerty. Please replace the disc in the drive with a supported disc with at least 4.4 GiB free. [Bug 160793] [7.10] nautilus-cd-burner error output non-specific / helpful in regards to exceeding space
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus-cd-burner We attempted to burn a DVD with 4.4G of data on a displayed 4.7G writable DVD using the CD/DVD Creator tool. The burning would not be successful and reported a general error, the only someone helpful output being "Compatible media types are: DVD+R". The disc and drive are both compatible with that type. Only after installing gnomebaker did an error report show that disc space would be exceeded on that disk and the burn would not be possible. Removing the .4G from the attempted burn then worked successfully in the CD/DVD Creator tool. Bug should be along the lines of more clear error output or improved recognition of disc usage. ** Affects: nautilus-cd-burner (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [7.10] nautilus-cd-burner error output non-specific / helpful in regards to exceeding space https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/160793 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus-cd-burner in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 127798] file roller can't recognize second of duplicate files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: file-roller I have seen this issue in Feisty and previous releases. Here are steps that should re-create the issue: navigate to any web site offering a tar.gz or similar archive. select "open with..." and open with file-roller navigate through the file archive (optional) close the window select the file from the web again select "open with..." and open with file-roller archive is not able to open reason I've found: when a file is taken and opened vs saving to disk it is put into /tmp/file.tar.gz. If the same file is selected from the web and opened using the same method the file is called /tmp/file.tar.gz.1. can file roller check for the existence of the same file in /tmp when using the open with option? Would that be a feature/option to integrate at the browser level or file-roller level? In any event, the best way around that I've found is to delete both of the archives from /tmp and try again, or manually open the original archive from /tmp.
