[Bug 268252] Re: Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched
=> I got something new. I did the last updates and... now when I try to launch nautilus, it tells me : "nautilus: symbol lookup error: nautilus: undefined symbol: eel_background_set_image_uri_sync" Seeing "background", I tried with a "nautilus --no-desktop" and with that command I still get the segmentation fault... -- Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/268252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 268252] Re: Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched
I did : - Go to /etc/default, use chmod to make apport executable, and execute apport as root (the console doesn't tell me anything, it just seem to work fine). - Restart the computer. - Try to start Nautilus, and get the segmentation fault. There is no crash files created in /var/crash, and so there is no way to report it. It seems the only thing we get launching Nautilus is this four words : segmentation fault (core dumped)... -- Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/268252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 268252] Re: Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched
The thing is I can't use Nautilus (however and luckly I can use PCMan FileManager). There is not any crash report in /var/crash except for midori, update-manager, virtualbox, compiz, firefox et rairan. -- Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/268252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thank to you for making a better world with Ubuntu =P ! [Bug 268252] [NEW] Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched
Public bug reported: Since I installed the Alpha version of Intrepid Ibex, I get a segmentation fault (core dumped) each time I try to launch nautilus. So I tried by many way to get it repaired (nautilus --check, who doesn't seem to see anything wrong, remove nautilus and install it again, download the sources and compile it myself...). During my research, I detected nothing wrong but this : while installing the nautilus-data packages, the console is telling me this : Unknown media type in type 'all/all' Unknown media type in type 'all/allfiles' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mms' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmst' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmsu' Unknown media type in type 'uri/pnm' Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspt' Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspu' Unknown media type in type 'fonts/package' Unknown media type in type 'interface/x-winamp-skin' Unknown media type in type 'all/all' Unknown media type in type 'all/allfiles' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mms' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmst' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmsu' Unknown media type in type 'uri/pnm' Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspt' Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspu' Unknown media type in type 'fonts/package' Unknown media type in type 'interface/x-winamp-skin' Kinda strange he ? But as it seems the only thing who's not going well, I think it may be because of it that Nautilus get his segmentation fault. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Nautilus : Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when launched https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/268252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
