I'm on precise and using ldap auth along with local auth. With no xorg.conf, 1 screen display, but system menu bar quits on login and it and unity launcher and panel are unavailable. When I try to install unity-2d-shell or unity-2d-panel, I get the error: Depends: unity-2d-common (= 5.7.0-0ubuntu1) but is not installable Occured after an apt-get upgrade.
