[Bug 919605] Re: remote desktop connection does keyboard character problems
Oddly enough, I had this bug 2 days ago but after having updated my oneiric system it is now working fine. My case is an Ubuntu system with "Dvorak, international variant, no dead keys" as keyboard layout, connecting to a Windows2008 server with a French layout. Could you please try with all updates applied, if you still have this bug? Thanks. ** Changed in: vinagre (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to vinagre in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/919605 Title: remote desktop connection does keyboard character problems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/vinagre/+bug/919605/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 762314] Re: package indicator-weather 11.04.10+repack-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1
Fedora had a similar bug (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=500163) which is shown "closed upstream". The only difference is the use of option -f. And the fact is that using this option is another option to work-around this issue. But it does not seem satisfactory given the fact that this option is supposed to "overwrite an existing cache file even if it appears to be uptodate" (according to the man page). ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #500163 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=500163 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/762314 Title: package indicator-weather 11.04.10+repack-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This bugs occurs in the post-installation of indicator-weather. But it is gtk-update-icon-cache which fails. The failure message found in DpkgTerminalLog.txt reads (translated to English): gtk-update-icon-cache: Failed to open file /usr/share/icons/gnome/.icon-theme.cache : File exists To reproduce this bug, one can do the following: 1. sudo touch /usr/share/icons/gnome/.icon-theme.cache 2. sudo gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/gnome/ failure! 4. sudo rm /usr/share/icons/gnome/.icon-theme.cache 5. sudo gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/gnome/ success! ** Package changed: indicator-weather (Ubuntu) => gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/762314 Title: package indicator-weather 11.04.10+repack-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

As a work-around to your issue, you can type the following command in a terminal: sudo rm /usr/share/icons/gnome/.icon-theme.cache That should do the trick and makes the package update work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/762314 Title: package indicator-weather 11.04.10+repack-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 760530] Re: I cannot send any email [was: ich kan keine E-Mails verschicken]
You have issue with sending emails from a freshly configured email evolution account. Before considering this issue a bug, we need to check that the issue is not in fact a configuration one. There are several forum discussions in German giving tips about how to properly setup an email account. For instance, here is one for the gmx email provider: http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/evolution-gmx-einrichten/ You should check how the "Sending Email" tab is filled. Do you have for instance the "Server requires authentication" check-box checked? This may be required for you email provider. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+question/152940 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/760530 Title: I cannot send any email [was: ich kan keine E-Mails verschicken] -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
