[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1445956] [NEW] File Roller fails to prompt user to install correct package (7z)
Public bug reported: I had a .7z (encrypted) archive I needed to open. At first attempt, file roller informed me that an additional package was required to manage that archive format (don't remember which one, I'm sorry). I let it install the software but I wasn't able to extract the software anyway. All I got was an error message and not even a password request. Only after I checked via the terminal whether the .7z codec was installed, apt told me that the package p7zip-full was required. I installed p7zip-full and File roller went smoothly after that. I think that archive manager should have triggered the installation of p7zip-full itself. Thank you for your work Alessandro ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1445956 Title: File Roller fails to prompt user to install correct package (7z) Status in file-roller package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I had a .7z (encrypted) archive I needed to open. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 989311] Re: Dialog for saving multiple images is too small
Sorry, I meant to report the bug upstream but had little time and days passed by. Thank to Sebastien for reporting it, great to see it already fixed! Alessandro -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to eog in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/989311 Title: Dialog for saving multiple images is too small Status in Eye of GNOME: Fix Released Status in “eog” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: I came across this minor but annoying behaviour of Eye of GNOME. When making changes to some images (i.e. rotate the picture to the correct position) the program prompts user for confirmation when he tries to close it. EOG asks user to confirm the changes he has made to very single picture, exposing a list of the pictures that were modified. The problem is that the list is costrained into a very tight box, so that the user can only see the first element; there can be two or twelve, only the first one will be shown and there is not even the chance to enlarge the box since its dimension is fixed. Moreover, with Ubuntu's overlay scrollbars there is not even clear that the list can be scrolled down since the bar is almost invisible. I find this is pointless and I supoose should be very easy to fix.
