When disabled 'Ubuntu AppIndicators', clicks at minimize worked ok; but later, those clicks stopped working again even with all extensions disabled :/ Update: Discovered that I was clicking at an specific pixel that is not stollen by the icon tray. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 2012388] Re: X11 window at top-right of the screen is invisible and steals mouse clicks
Open gnome-shell-extension-prefs, scroll down to 'Ubuntu Appindicators' and disable it. I already did, and icon tray stopped stealing click actions. 'Enable Legacy tray icons' is an option of 'Ubuntu Appindicators' extension. You can see it if you click on Settings at 'Ubuntu AppIndicators' extension, but disabling only that setting did not work for me, I had to disable the entire extension. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell-extension-appindicator in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2012388 Title: X11 window at top-right of the screen is invisible and steals mouse clicks Status in gnome-shell-extension-appindicator package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hardware Model: Dell Inc. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1526110] [NEW] Xorg freeze
Public bug reported: Symptons: Display freezes, but not mouse, after 30 seconds aprox display refreshes, and only background image is shown over 3 seconds aprox and then apport window appears to send report, other times apport window doesn't appear and everything just continues as normal. Steps to reproduce: 1. I think the goal in this is saturate GPU, so what I do is to open many images with GIMP say 20, open Firefox, Chrome, VLC player with a video running and Audacity. With those are sufficient to reproduce the issue which becomes recurrent to say every 2 minutes. To make it clear, not only xorg package gets involved in these freezes other many times it's compiz. I'd like you to give me guidelines to seriously troubleshoot this issue. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1456016] [NEW] Xorg nouveau graphics driver freezes or crashes
Public bug reported: I'm not saying xorg is the culprit, I think problem is graphics related thus it happens when I choose Nouveau graphics driver instead of proprietary Nvidia. My GPU is an integrated one and uses shared RAM, this bug is more frequent when hardware settings are AUTODETECT FRAME BUFFER SIZE=enabled otherwise when it's set to FIXED=256MB it isn't that frequent. The steps to reproduce this bug are not pretty clear, this crash happens at least once a day, appearently when there's too much memory in use. I used to use Nvidia proprietary driver with Ubuntu 14.10 with less problems but some crashes correctly managed by system without closing any application but with Ubuntu 15.04 this crashes make all applications get closed, that's why I decided to change to Nouveau but it gets so slow. I'm really considering rollback to Ubuntu 14.10 which caused less problems. When Systems freezes both keyboard and mouse get irresponsive too. I've collected some data through SSH which are attached: Xorg.0.freezetime.log is /var/log/Xorg.0.log at Freeze moment. kikedmesg.txt is dmsg.txt at Freeze moment. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 627195 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627195 This is still an issue in 14.04 LTS. Not a huge problem perhaps, but in the age of iOS, Android, Mac OSX and Windows 8, it's one of the little bugs that makes Ubuntu a less than smooth user experience. I hope someone works on it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008601 Title: Can't bring rhythmbox to front using sound indicator Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When I select rhythmbox from the sound indicator, often it does not take the window to the front.
