2023-05-02 Thread Enrique Rojano
When disabled 'Ubuntu AppIndicators', clicks at minimize worked ok; but later,
those clicks stopped working again even with all extensions disabled :/
Update: Discovered that I was clicking at an specific pixel that is not stollen
by the icon tray.

I noticed that even the 'hover' mouse action over minimize-restore-close
buttons, does not trigger.

2023-05-02 Thread Enrique Rojano
Open gnome-shell-extension-prefs, scroll down to 'Ubuntu Appindicators'
and disable it.

I already did, and icon tray stopped stealing click actions.

'Enable Legacy tray icons' is an option of 'Ubuntu Appindicators'
extension. You can see it if you click on Settings at 'Ubuntu
AppIndicators' extension, but disabling only that setting did not work
for me, I had to disable the entire extension.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1634651] Re: Ubuntu sofware-center won't let login to ubuntu one account

2016-10-20 Thread Enrique Agustini
What a surprise, I agree that it doesn't intall snap software, but at
least it tries :D, don't know what package it is but it is the official
software center.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Try to install VLC.

Bug description:
  Dear maintainers,

As of version 46, Firefox shipping with Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) is
linked against GTK3 instead of GTK2.

When the Oxygen-GTK3 theme (installed from the Ubuntu 12.04 repos) is
active in ~/.config/gtk-3.0, Firefox crashes on startup. The crash
does not occur with the defaullt (GTK 3.4.2) GTK3 theme.

As a side note, I believe that this kind of software change (link
against GTK3 as opposed to GTK2) should not happen on an LTS release
  anyway ...

  Best regards,

  Claude

  Claude

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1575781] Re: Firefox 46 crashes on Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) with Oxygen-GTK3

2016-05-03 Thread Enrique Hernández Bello
I've packaged oxygen-gtk3 1.2.2, the latest version compatible with Gtk3
< 3.10 and it works succesfully.

https://launchpad.net/~ehbello/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+files/oxygen-
gtk3_1.2.2-0ubuntu1.dsc

This is the same version for oxygen-gtk2 already packaged in 'precise'.
It fixes the anoying white color of selected text and another graphics
apects.

You can found deb package in my Launchpad PPA: ~ehbello/ppa

https://launchpad.net/~ehbello/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

I attach the dpkg diff file from 1.0.2.

Title:
Firefox 46 crashes on Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) with Oxygen-GTK3

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in oxygen-gtk3 package in Ubuntu:
  New

  Claude

No aparecen los lanzadores de libreoffice en el dash. Tampoco funciona
la opción de lanzamiento mediante terminal.

I was only able to reproduce this on mako/rtm, krillin/vivid seems to
behave better (but I do remember the same issue there).

  Steps:
  * connect to a password-protected WiFi network
  * go out of range
  * make sure a GSM connection is established
  * go back in the WiFi range

  Expected:
  * phone connects to the known WiFi automatically

  Current:
  * phone does not connect to WiFi

WiFi and Plane mode to get some data on the issue.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1526110] [NEW] Xorg freeze

2015-12-14 Thread Enrique Agustini
Public bug reported:

Symptons:
Display freezes, but not mouse, after 30 seconds aprox display refreshes, and
only background image is shown over 3 seconds aprox and then apport window
appears to send report, other times apport window doesn't appear and everything
just continues as normal.

Steps to reproduce:
1. I think the goal in this is saturate GPU, so what I do is to open many
images with GIMP say 20, open Firefox, Chrome, VLC player with a video running
and Audacity. With those are sufficient to reproduce the issue which becomes
recurrent to say every 2 minutes.

To make it clear, not only xorg package gets involved in these freezes
other many times it's compiz.

I'd like you to give me guidelines to seriously troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1456016] [NEW] Xorg nouveau graphics driver freezes or crashes

2015-05-17 Thread Enrique Agustini
Public bug reported:

I'm not saying xorg is the culprit, I think problem is graphics related thus it
happens when I choose Nouveau graphics driver instead of proprietary Nvidia.
My GPU is an integrated one and uses shared RAM, this bug is more frequent when
hardware settings are AUTODETECT FRAME BUFFER SIZE=enabled otherwise when
it's set to FIXED=256MB it isn't that frequent.
The steps to reproduce this bug are not pretty clear, this crash happens at
least once a day, appearently when there's too much memory in use.
I used to use Nvidia proprietary driver with Ubuntu 14.10 with less problems
but some crashes correctly managed by system without closing any application
but with Ubuntu 15.04 this crashes make all applications get closed, that's why
I decided to change to Nouveau but it gets so slow. I'm really considering
rollback to Ubuntu 14.10 which caused less problems.
When Systems freezes both keyboard and mouse get irresponsive too. I've
collected some data through SSH which are attached:
Xorg.0.freezetime.log is /var/log/Xorg.0.log at Freeze moment.
kikedmesg.txt is dmsg.txt at Freeze moment.
Please contact me with directions to help in solving this issue.

Original Reporter Comments: This occurs whenever the End date is in
a leap year (New Year's Eve/Day is convenient) and the Start date is
not in a leap year but is later than 28-Feb of its year. For example,
Start dates between 1.1.1958 and 2.28.1958 in the above examples
  work correctly.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1008601] Re: Can't bring rhythmbox to front using sound indicator

2014-10-04 Thread Enrique Cobas
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 627195 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627195

This is still an issue in 14.04 LTS. Not a huge problem perhaps, but in
the age of iOS, Android, Mac OSX and Windows 8, it's one of the little
bugs that makes Ubuntu a less than smooth user experience. I hope
someone works on it.

Can't bring rhythmbox to front using sound indicator

Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
When I select rhythmbox from the sound indicator, often it does not
take the window to the front. Instead, the rhythmbox icon on the
  launcher is shaking and glows.

Restarting rhythmbox fixes this for some time.
I'm not sure how to trigger it but I'm happy to stacktrace something if that
helps.
