[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1241409] Re: Shows corrupt screen - Freezed Latop
I found one other soul that has this issue on B590 and it looks like it is not just a Ubuntu issue. After finding these articles I ran Windows 8 for a couple of days and got one such crash. http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/B590-Screen- garbled/td-p/1140123 Some other Lenovo products with the same issue in various degrees. http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnose-and- fix/detail.page?DocID=HT001223 Maybe the comments in those forums could help aleviating the problem in Ubuntu at least. In the mean time I suppose I will just have to pray that the intel- linux-graphics-installer is updated to work with 13.10 soon. In another desperate step I installed the latest Xubuntu and at least the crashes are limited to one or two per day now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241409 Title: Shows corrupt screen - Freezed Latop Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have a Lenovo B590 laptop that crashed occationally with a scrambled screen on 13.04 but since I upgraded to 13.10 it crashes a couple of times a day and needs to be hard reset or left for a while to reboot on its own.
