Also  I have this bug in a fresh install of 11.10 beta2 (amd64) upgraded
with latest packages on 2011-09-27 11:30-11:45 UTC on a Samsung
NC110/NC210.

Enabling or disabling oneiric backports shouldn't make any difference because 
the oneiric backports are empty (as far as I can see).

Additionally, I can confirm the existence of this bug with gnome-
