For me this is still happening and I have other problems with nautilus such as desktop icons disappearing when there is activity like open or close nautilus or firefox. The same happend in ubutnu-gnome 14.04 LTS ad now 16.04 LTS. I was dragged into updating to 16 as support told me no help as this was my problem, but 16 has been a bad choice for me and this older computer.
