[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1044322] Re: indicator-messages-service crashed with assert in g_menu_exporter_name_vanished()
This becomes more urgent to release now that banshee was accidently released into quantal-updates with a dependency on this newer glib. I checked a lot of reports on the linked e.u.c page and none had the proposed glib installed. Given the sheer number though, and the absence of any way to programatically query the error tracker, I can only hope to look at a tiny fraction manually. I'll call this v-done and someone on the SRU team can disagree and do something else (remove) about banshee if they like. ** Tags removed: verification-needed ** Tags added: verification-done -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to glib2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1044322 Title: indicator-messages-service crashed with assert in g_menu_exporter_name_vanished() Status in The G Library - GLib: Fix Released Status in “glib2.0” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “glib2.0” source package in Quantal: Fix Released Bug description: [Test Case] This bug is a top crasher on errors.ubuntu.com. This bug was fixed in the package glib2.0 - 2.34.1-1ubuntu1 --- glib2.0 (2.34.1-1ubuntu1) quantal-proposed; urgency=low * Rebase on Debian experimental. Hello Arie, or anyone else affected, Accepted glib2.0 into quantal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0/2.34.1-1ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please change the bug tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not, change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification .
