This is how I can reproduce it: * Flash a new image with --wipe or -b * Boot the image, dismiss the edge gesture tutorial * Pull down the network indicator, select a WiFi * It asks for the passphrase, enter it, hit Connect. Now it sits there, just doing nothing. WiFi never really connects. If I reboot the phone now, it successfully connects to the previously selected WiFi. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1284048] Re: Troubles connecting to WiFi after fresh flash
Some more information: * Rebooting the device makes it connect successfully to the WiFi without re-requesting the password (indicates that the password was entered correctly and the WiFi AP does work). * Switching to another WiFi network after this failed attempt makes it work too. Its really only the very first network I select after bootstrapping that fails, and only during the first boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1284048 Title: Troubles connecting to WiFi after fresh flash Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: After flashing a new image to the Phone, wiping all the settings, connecting to WiFi fails. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1284048] Re: Troubles connecting to WiFi after fresh flash
Just botstrap-flashed the Nexus7 with the latest devel-proposed image (303) and I have still the same issue. No chance in connecting to wifi on the first boot. Syslog attached. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1284048] Re: Troubles connecting to WiFi after fresh flash
There is no indication in the bug that there is a successful connection. All I see is that the association takes too long, and Networkmanager eventually fails the connection because of that. Is this still a current problem? I suspect recent changes on the images should have improved the situation, assuming this is one of the officially supported devices. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1284048 Title: Troubles connecting to WiFi after fresh flash Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After flashing a new image to the Phone, wiping all the settings, connecting to WiFi fails.
