It would be nice if input task included an echo attribute that default to true, but could be set to false to not echo input (or to display stars). -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

ANY REPLY MADE TO THIS MESSAGE WILL NOT BE COLLECTED AND· INSERTED IN THE BUG DATABASE. http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35590 Summary: Request: control source/target of javac through a property Product: Ant Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: Core tasks AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Seeing as it is possible to specify the compiler javac uses through build.compiler, I think it would be extremely useful to be able to control which VM version to generate class files for. This would be of particular interest to downstream packagers, in order to finely tune which VM versions a package would be compiled for.

Note that the default value depends on the JVM that is running Ant. In particular, if you use JDK 1.4+ the generated classes will not be usable for a 1.1 Java VM unless you explicitly set this attribute to the value 1.1 (which is the default value for JDK 1.1 to 1.3). We highly recommend to always specify this attribute. and the example javac srcdir=${src} destdir=${build} fork=true source=1.2 target=1.2 / Please state why this is not sufficient? (one could replace target=1.2 by target=${destversion} -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
