Re: [VOTE] Release of Apache Mnemonic-0.10.0-incubating [rc1]

2017-11-07 Thread Henry Saputra
I would argue this is not a blocker since the pom.xml define the target JVM:

https://github.com/apache/incubator-mnemonic/blob/master/pom.xml#L104

Gary, when you said regression, did you mean it was working with Java9
before and now it was not?
If it has not been working with Java9 from beginning this should not be
release blocker.

The "checklist" suppose to just provide guide for readiness our graduation.
It was NOT mandatory checklist.

This should be used primarily for self check to make sure we are ready for
graduation.

Like Yanping has said, need to add more integration with existing open
source projects, like maybe with Apache HBase, Apache Flink or Apache Spark.

Who is adding karma to push changes to mnemonic git repo?

2016-07-17 Thread Henry Saputra
Hi All,

I am so sorry for cross posting to private, but I am wondering who added
karma to make changes to mnemonic git repository?

I dont see mnemonic entry in the
https://git1-us-west.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure-puppet.git
authorization template file.

Re: Code review tools for Arrow patches

How about using Github Pull Requests as mechanism to do review?

So, all patches need to be done via Github mirror PRs, similar to Flink and
Spark and other new projects have been doing.

At AsterixDB we did Gerrit and has to do some tooling to make sure it
comply with ASF way.

Re: Mnemonic board report due in one week.

2016-04-06 Thread Henry Saputra
Yes, I think we are in good shape. Please do close the ticket as resolved.

We need to manually merged the PR to ASF git repo instead of using Github
merge.

If the commit message contains "This closes " the ASF bot will
automatically close the Github PR.

Re: Please add me as a member of Apache Mnemonic in Github if appropriate

2016-03-30 Thread Henry Saputra
No, the Github repository for Apache Mnemonic is only a mirror to ASF git
repository [1].
So you can not accept pull requests from github.

But we could ask for advance integration with github so we when a merge to
ASF Git happen with comment This closes # it would automatically
close the PR.

We need to send INFRA ticket to allow change in mnemonic JIRA project to
allow contributor to assign issue to themselves.

This is due to stupid change requested by Spark PMC while back to change
default contributor to not able to assign issue to themselves.

2016-03-11 Thread Henry Saputra
Thanks so much for driving the bootstrapping of the project, Patrick.

Let's move the discussions to dev@ list.

Please subscribe to the newly minted lists by send email to :

private-subscr...@mnemonic.incubator.apache.org
dev-subscr...@mnemonic.incubator.apache.org
commits-subscr...@mnemonic.incubator.apache.org

and follow the instruction listed in the response email.

Thanks,

- Henry
