Re: FOSDEM 2016 - take action by 4th of December 2015
Just for the record, the message below was sent by Roman to a number of mailing lists, but the deadline for the Open Document Editors devroom, the one co-organized by Apache OpenOffice, is still December 7th. So you are still in time, but be quick! See http://s.apache.org/rCo for the call, which I'll repost today to the blog and here for the usual last-minute submitters. Regards, Andrea. Finally if you don't want to fish for CFP submission URL, here it is: https://fosdem.org/submit If you have any questions -- please email me *directly* and hope to see as many of you as possible in two months! Reminder: submit your FOSDEM talk by 7 Dec 2015
Reminder: FOSDEM talk proposals are due by 7 December, so in approximately 48 hours from now. FOSDEM is in Brussels, 30 January 2016. Talks are expected to be short (20 minutes) and focused on technical issues. All details about submission are available in this new blog post: https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/apache_openoffice_at_fosdem_2016 Funding for speakers has traditionally been available. I haven't sent a proposal in this sense yet (i.e., the traditional proposal to allocate flat-rate reimbursement of, say, 250 EUR for each speaker) since it takes time and, despite the discussions this takes, none of us ever asked for a reimbursement. We can probably discuss it together with merchandising when we have news about the approved stands. The last version for NB 8.0 is plugin version 4.1.3. This update was required for NB api module changes. It has fixed several problems with the compilation and installation of some code fir an OO extension I am working on (read: trying vainly to understand!) which didn't migrate well from Netbeans 8.0.2 Thanks for the feedback Rory, I'm never sure how many people besides me use it, but I try to do what little I can.
