 We are currently fixing them. Will update this thread about the progress.

First can you find the wso2 repos that use the above listener class and
send them PRs with the fixes? This update task has to be a one time
coordinated task. We need to fix all the places at once and for this we
need to be ready with the PRs.

Hi Everyone,

Geeth and I had already fixed most of these issues in
wso2-dev/carbon-apimgt repository. Appreciate if someone who's got access
sending PRs to wso2/carbon-apimgt, can merge these changes.

Cheers,
Prabath

 I had a look into this issue. While working on this I have encountered

 However, I will update the progress here by tomorrow.

[Dev] [BPS] Unable to upload BPEL package using BPS management console

2015-01-09 Thread Himasha Guruge
Hi All,

I created a sample helloworld BPEL project using eclipse and while trying
to upload the zipped project using BPS Management console, I'm given with
the following pop up error.

File upload failed :BPEL Archive format error.Please confirm that the file
being uploaded is a valid BPEL archive.

Is this an issue with the deploy.xml or with the project structure? Any
help on this will be useful. I have attached the compressed version of the

No. There is no dedicated project creation option available to automate
carbon/OSGI bundle creation in dev-studio. We have to do tasks such as edit
pom.xml, add Activator class etc. manually when we use "Java Library
Project" which is the available option.

Thanks,
Viraj.

Re: [Dev] [Urgent] Updating carbon-apimgt to use kernel version 4.3.0 instead of 4.3.0-SNAPSHOT

2015-01-09 Thread Pulasthi Supun
Hi Roshan,

We are installing several apim features in our product build. below is the
list of features we are installing.

org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.apimgt.core.feature
org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.apimgt.interceptor.feature
org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.apimgt.publisher.feature
org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.apimgt.store.feature
org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.apimgt.startup.publisher.feature

if we can get these features built even locally ( for now ) that would be
great.

Best Regards,
Pulasthi

Yes, we can use the felix bundle plugin which is what we used in the all

Re: [Dev] Create a OSGi bundle in Dev Studio

2015-01-09 Thread Viraj Rajaguru
Hi Eranda,

We are using "org.apache.felix.maven-bundle-plugin"[1] maven plugin in "Java
Library Project" to create OSGI bundle from the existing jar or java
project. Using maven-bundle-plugin we can define parameter such as
'Export-Packages', 'Bundle-Activator' etc. for the OSGI bundle.

For an example, see the following plugin definition in the pom.xml of a "Java
Library Project"

org.apache.felix
maven-bundle-plugin
2.3.4
true

myBundle
myBundle
org.wso2.myBundle,x.y.z
*
org.wso2.myBundle.Activator

Thanks,
Viraj.

Re: [Dev] Do we still use org.wso2.carbon.stratos.* features within the platform?

2015-01-09 Thread Prabath Abeysekera
Thanks Sagara for the prompt response.

@KasunG/Kicha, would you guys please be able to point me to the new
implementation?

CDM uses API management related features for which, as it appears, having
org.wso2.carbon.idp.mgt feature is a must. I'm seeing some listener
implemented within the aforementioned module extending "
org.wso2.carbon.stratos.common.TenantMgtListener" forcing us to have
"org.wso2.carbon.stratos.common" feature too added into CDM's feature
profile. Therefore, I'm looking for any possible alternatives to avoid this.

Cheers,
Prabath

 In my usecase i use a proxy (MyProxy) sending each request towards a
 loadbalanced endpoint. Inside the loadBalanced endpoint there are 3
 endpoints (E1, E2, E3) and the balancing algorithm is the standard "round
 robin". In this structure i need to log exactly:

AFAIK those Stratos components are obsolete and there is a new
multi-tenancy module available, KasunG/Kitcha can provide more insights.

[Dev] Do we still use org.wso2.carbon.stratos.* features within the platform?

2015-01-09 Thread Prabath Abeysekera
Hi Everyone,

Do we still use features such as "org.wso2.carbon.stratos.common" within
the platform? I can see some of the components still carry implementations
of "org.wso2.carbon.stratos.common.TenantMgtListener", etc, so just
wondering if these are obsolete.

Cheers,

[Dev] Building carbon-mediation ui componants

2015-01-09 Thread Eranda Rajapakshe
I am trying to build the inbound endpoint ui in carbon-mediation. After
doing the required modification in the source I used "mvn clean install" in
this directory "components/mediation-ui/org.wso2.carbon.inbound.ui"  to
build the jar and copied it to the
/wso2esb-4.9.0-SNAPSHOT/repository/components/plugins directory.

Even though the build was successful, the inbound endpoint tab doesn't
appear in the ESB management console.

Is there any step that I have missed in the process of building the jar
file?

Thank you!

This has to be done at the outSequence. isn't it ? We can only log the

Hi,

You can get the used endpoint using following configuration.

 var endpoint = mc.getProperty('last_endpoint');
 mc.setProperty('used_endpoint',endpoint.toString());

Put the debug check condition always. Follow it religiously.

Re: [Dev] [DSS] start point for extending, creating plugins, new functions and resolving BUGs

2015-01-09 Thread Clovis Wichoski
Hi Anjana,

Just to leave a starting discussion about Data Services with RESTful from
the user view, I like this pattern:
http://www.eclipse.org/eclipselink/documentation/2.5/solutions/restful_jpa004.htm#CHDEGJIG,
and the idea to "Pass by Reference" to reduce the size of payload. What do
you think?

Best regards

 Hi,

 I'm researching for a way to improve some things in DSS, especially in
 the REST part, for example, I wish to implement, a better way to receive
 any JSON format, or do a better dynamic query construct without the SQL
 injection problems, or to use JPQL instead SQL, and to support REST that
 allow, dynamic filter, queries range and count of this filter, to support
 WADL generation, etc...,
 I know how to do these things using JAX-RS, but I like to create this
 inside DSS as appears to be a better place for this type of service as its
 especially focused in Data part of SOA.

 For example, today in DSS we must send this payload to create a New
 Country:

 {
 "_postcountry":{
 "code":"7",
 "name":"BRASIL",
 "acronym":"BRA",
 "bankCode":"1058",
 "ddiCode":"55"
 }
 }

 and this broke the RESTFul idea to use HTTP Methods, as some clients
 use today the payload just as:
 {
 "code":"7",
 "name":"BRASIL",
 "acronym":"BRA",
 "bankCode":"1058",
 "ddiCode":"55"
 }

 I know we can deal with this using mediation in ESB to inject the parts
 needed by DSS, but why dont support this directly in DSS to avoid
 unnecessary overheads? or for example, a more complex scenario, where I
 post a payload with all data, and create the other data if necessary.

 Other example, I wish to solve some bugs, like if we send this payload:

[Dev] Debug Logs without isDebugEnabled check

2015-01-09 Thread Gayan Gunawardana
Hi All,

Currently I am going through user core exception handling and identifying
changes required to do.

In user core [1] there are couple of places debug logs exists without
isDebugEnabled check.

Ex:getSearchBaseDirectoryContext(), setUserClaims()

Is there any rule for places where we can ignore isDebugEnabled check or
should we do isDebugEnabled check always?

[Dev] Generated service stub for OSGI service contains wrong return types

2015-01-09 Thread Sithumini Senevirathne
Hi All,

Currently I am working on G-Reg new feature [1] Ability to display
difference of two resources of same type. There I created,

• Server component (back-end) OSGI bundle,

• Communication stub OSGI bundle,

• UI component OSGI bundle.

In-order to create the stub I got the WSDL exposed from the service.

For that,
I changed the parameter  in
/repository/conf/carbon.xml  from true to false.
Then build the Server component and copy the jar inside the target folder
and put it into the /repository/components/dropins/ folder in
the G-Reg server instance.
Then start the server, got the WSDL as
https://192.168.1.2:9443/services/WSDLToolService?wsdl and put it inside
the src/main/resources folder in stub OSGI bundle.
Then build the stub and create the UI component.

Server component OSGI bundle ServiceClass method returns a Map but always
stub generates the method with a wrong return type. Here I got the method
returning String array. I changed the service method return type several
times and created the stub and always got the method with a wrong return
type.

Can somebody explain how this happens or where I have went wrong and help
me on this regards?

Hi Sithumini,

I didn't have time to try out the sample as yet, but I went through the
README.txt file. From a technical point of view this is a good
introduction, but from a business point of view somebody cannot understand
how this sample can be of use for them. Can you expand the introduction
section to include a description as to how this makes sense to somebody who
is interested in similar functionality?

Please also add some useful comments to [1] so that somebody with little to
no experience with the handler API can understand the code you have written
and its purpose.

I don't think you can achieve this using log mediator. As a workaround, if
you enable DEBUG logs for your Endpoints (HTTPEndpoint, AddressEndpoint
etc.), you can see to which endpoint each request is sent.

Re: [Dev] [ IMPORTANT] G-Reg 5.0.0 Milestone plan

2015-01-09 Thread Sameera Kannangara
Hi Pulasthi,

> Regarding https://redmine.wso2.com/issues/468
 What is the status on this. What needs to be done to get it complete.
 And also please update the redmine with the progress

My self and Jerad are working on this.
Phase 1 (which is to be packed in M1) of the development will be completed
on 12-01-2015.

- Dependency graph UI.
- Locate resource functionality.
- Zoom in and out on dependency graph.
- Presenting detailed view of a resource.
- Highlighting resources connected to a desired resource.

Please note that developed feature is tested against a pack built after the
test hackathon on 15-11-2014.

redmine entry is updated.

Thank you,
SameeraK.

And also there is another RM task[1] done as an enhancement for the
Shazni's task (Need to update the status). Don't we need to add it to M1?

[Dev] [G-Reg] Sample for G-Reg 5.0.0 - Apply namespace as a Tag while creating the service

2015-01-09 Thread Sithumini Senevirathne
Hi all,

I created a G-Reg sample which will apply the namespace of the service as a
tag at the time of the service creation. This was done using Registry
Hander. I created a sample hander called CustomTagServiceHandler. At the
time of service creation this Handler will get hit and will apply the
namespace as a Tag into the service.

You can find the sample code and the README file in github repository [1].
If there are any other scenarios which need to cover with this sample
please provide your feedback.
