[digitalradio] Re : is there any digital DX on 40 metres ?
Hello everyone, Thankyou for all the replies from various parts of the world. It seems that there are still quite a number of operators busy at 01.00 UTC, and I'm not surprised that there are many CW operators using 7.038 + or - Some people don't like the idea of PSK users having a bit of the band.! 00.00 UTC is a bit later than I normally operate and I did rather expect that the band would be busy. Perhaps when the broadcasting companies finally pack their bags it might become a more pleasant place to be. Kind regards, Mel G0GQK

Sorry for the typo, meant ZL/VK...keys far too close together! --- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, "Bill McLaughlin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi Mel, > > Well from North America I work South Africa nightly on 7.076 using > WSJT modes. Hi Mel, Well from North America I work South Africa nightly on 7.076 using WSJT modes. The ZK/VK stations come later here, 0300 local or so. A few EU stations on 7.039/7.038 but difficult to copy here due to CW traffic. 73, Bill N9DSJ --- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, "Mel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hello, > > During the last few days there's been evening DX activity on 30 metres > between Canada and the US and a number of European stations. Re: [digitalradio] Re: Is there any digital DX on 40 metres ?
Theres a ton of digital DX, mostly PSK (RTTY during contests), on 40M. Like Bob says, most of it is down around 7035 and not further up the band with all the domestic signals. This is because there are quite a few countries that countries where they don't have the privileges to go up to 7070. When on 40M, I keep one VFO set at 7070 and the other at 7035 and constantly monitor both. -- JT Croteau, N1ESE - Manchester, NH (FN42gx) Contest Manager, TARA Skirmish

Hi, Most of the eu digi dx (mostly psk) I hear is between 7035-7038, around my sunset(z to 0100z). They are sometimes heard also above 7070 if phone activity there is not too heavy (after 0100z). Also some Olivia or mfsk above 7073 sometimes.
