Re: [slim] Problem with update
Search the board, that is common behaviour. You have to run latest version of the squeezebox server at home, update your server! Each server holds a firmware version, msb.com and SBS. If the versions are different your device will change firmware at each switch between msb and sbs. Re: [slim] Wired network for Transporter Ready NAS Duo
Yes, the solution with a wired switch should work fine. As prices are very low I would recommend a Gigabit Switch with minimum 5 or 8 ports. Most PCs, Laptops and NAS support Gigabit (its about 125 MB/s against max. 12,5 MB/s with Fast-Ethernet). -- Aurumer Aurumer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31601 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73378 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Trie the UNC-Path to your server: \\server-ip\share (you can trie in the windows explorer until it works). [slim] Compliment to Logitech support
Normaly most people in forums write about their problems. So something from the other side... I got a brand new transporter a few weeks ago. Very nice, very good sound but now and then some problems with noise form the transnav knob. It often degausses and makes some ticking and clicking. So I wrote to support to ask if there is a workaround or firmware update or something else to get things better. We mailed some times in both direction and the support decided to replace the unit. This was the timeline: One week until I could send my transporter to Logitech and at the end of the next week I got a new unit. So here I am, very happy with a grave quiet and very good sounding new transporter. Big compliments to Logitech for this fast and uncomplicated help from a satisfied customer!
