Hi Marc, & thanks. No,the buttons are not hooked up to anything. It was suprisingly easy to put together, once I had taken the squeezebox out of the case. Hi, I thought the following could interest some of you. www.cdon.com (a scandinavian online music/electronics/movies retailer) currently sells a pair of BLACK Audioengine 5's (listed under the name d feldt) at 1269 DKK, ~170 EURO. Below is a direct link to the product listing at the danish website. Apparently when you go to www.cdon.com, there is a european website, but the Audioengine's aren't listed there. http://www.cdon.com/main.phtml?prod=632379&nav=13141&navroot=903&page=product cdon is well-known and reliable (scandinavians will know it), they listed under retailers at audioengineusa's website. NOTE. I'm in no way affiliated with them.
