However, the default font is set to WenQuanYi Zen Hei in 0.110 version provided by Raring. It is a regression that most of Chinese (Traditional) users don't appreciate this change. We would like to use WenQuanYi Micro Hei as before. I changed the conf provided by raring to fit we Chinese (Traditional) users more to have WenQuanYi Micro Hei back. Please accept the patch. [Documentation-packages] [Bug 1271492] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 help section still has option "What's new in Ubuntu 13.10?"
Yes, we know. The Ubuntu Desktop documentation is both a package and a project. The documentation group works on the project, and in the project the what new page has been changed. The package will not be updated until the end of the cycle. The actual content of the whats new page, beyond the 14.04 part, also isn't updated until just before documentation string freeze, because we don't know whats new yet. Thanks for your bug report, but I'm setting it to invalid. ** Changed in: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Documentation Packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-docs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1271492 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 help section still has option "What's new in Ubuntu 13.10?" [Documentation-packages] [Bug 1054204] Re: Libreoffice chooses incorrect font weight
Looking at the upstream git log [1] the fontconfig part should be fixed since saucy. You can fix the problem manually by installing fontforge program, going to Open dialog, navigating in it to /usr/share/fonts/truetype /ubuntu-font-family/ and opening Ubuntu-M.ttf. In Element -> Font Info, you can fix the family on the first page, and then export the font with File -> Generate Fonts, selecting the type "TrueType". Save to somewhere in your home folder first, accept the warnings, then in a terminal window / command line type: sudo mv Ubuntu-M.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ubuntu-font-family sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig Attached to this bug report is also a branch of the Ubuntu packaging that includes this manually modified Ubuntu-M.ttf, since the sources seem not to be editable with free tools.
