Re: [Dspace-tech] Minho stats add-on for Dspace 1.5

2009-02-10 Thread sakshi gupta
I looked through the website of University of Minho (
https://repositorium.sdum.uminho.pt/) and they are using Dspace version
1.5.1. They do have the statistics add-on module implemented on the DSpace
version 1.5.1 (
https://repositorium.sdum.uminho.pt/stats?level=generaltype=accesspage=downviews-series).

Also, the DSpace newsletter of September 2008 says that *There are two
significant changes in 1.5.1: (1) Both the JSPUI and XMLUI (Manakin)
interfaces are compatible with the Minho statistics package for data
capture. When using XMLUI, a
JSPUIhttp://wiki.dspace.org/index.php//StatisticsAddOnwill be needed
to view the stats.
* (
http://www.dspace.org/index.php/DSpace-Newsletter/NewSpace-September-2008.html
)

These facts made me hope that the latest version of University of Minho
statistics 2.0 is perhaps compatible with DSpace version 1.5.1. However, I
have not been able to install it yet because their documentation is not
according to DSpace 1.5.1.

Anyone has more information about this?

 Hi all,

I am trying to install the Statistics AddOn from the University of Minho
onto DSpace 1.5.1 and the Manakin XMLUI. I am facing a number of problems
while trying to do so as the documentation is outdated. I wanted to know if
other people have tried and been successful in installing the stats addon
 2.0 to Dspace 1.5.1?

[Dspace-tech] Bugs in Manakin Interface?

2008-11-10 Thread sakshi gupta
While exploring the new XMLUI, I came across two bugs in the software.
1. When a user signs out of his DSpace account, he is automatically taken to
the DSpace homepage; instead of keeping him on the same page.
2. After a user signs out of his DSpace account and clicks on a collection
name listed in the main content of the page, the Context and
Adminstrative menu items come up again in the navigation bar (as if the
user was still logged in).

I looked up the mailing-list archive and wiki to see if these were known
bugs and if there was a work-around, but could not find any discussions on
them.

I would appreciate any further information about these.

Thanks !
