[Dx4win] Glitch

2021-10-05 Thread W9RPM
Hi, I had some sort of a glitch or something. I use the NX9G cluster. I
want to see only spots originating from the K and VE. Anyone know how to
set that. I did it with DX4WIN in Packet 1, putting K,VE for spotters,
but it still shows the spots from other countries, but they are greyed
out. I don't want to see them at all. I must have to set it in the
packet window with a command.

Thanks, John W9RPM

[Dx4win] DX4WIN "Glitch"

Hi Mike,

I've never heard of this before, and I use F3 a lot. But I've always used RAC,
not Hamcall. I wonder if there's a bug with the way DX4WIN is interacting with
the hamcall .DLL.

I guess the only work-around is to save your log before using F3.

Now that I think about it, I do remember something about one of the lookups
returning too much data and causing problems for DX4WIN. I wonder if that was
Hamcall? I think Paul said that he embiggened some buffer as a work-around,
but the problem might re-occur in the future.

Jim,

I'm linking to qrz.com. Quite frequently my DX4WIN 7.03 inserts
a slash in front of the callsign before it is handed over to the
web. Then qrz.com cannot find the call, of course. It happened
also with 7.02, but not with the older version I used.

The insert does not happen immediately when I hit F3, only after
I have confirmed on the small window.

2021-10-05 Thread Tim moore
It's under Preferences/Packet 1/Prefixes/Zones for Spotters. Then also
under Packet 1 go down in the bottom of that window to "Spots to
Ignore" and set it to ignore those Greyed out spots (I have mine set to
Ignore Grey and Black spots).

[Dx4win] Glitch when printing QSL labels

2018-06-29 Thread Irwin Darack
With the latest version of DX4WIN 9 (version 9.04.1176) I experienced a
glitch when printing QSL labels that has never occurred before.

When processing QSL card responses, I set the label print function to "Y".
After completing a batch of cards, when I go to Print the Labels, it tells
me that there are no or only a few labels to print. If I exit and open the
software again, the number of QSL cards to be printed are then correctly
indicated.

I am not sure if this is a software glitch as it has never happened with
previous version of DX4WIN 9.

Thanks and regards,

Irwin, that can happen when you have a filter and/or a Selection active. —Paul
