[Dx4win] Pre- and Post-Conditions

2003-12-13 Thread William Liporace - NA2NA
For those that feel your TNC is a desk ornament... check with your local
Node Sysop... He may be able to use a spare TNC or two. Many of the nodes
put a considerable amount of time and $$ to keep you connected!!

Of course it is also nice to have the TNC around for the time when cable or
DSL is down during that contest.

na2na.net and AR-Cluster Node

If you connect to the net for spots--telnet--this is relatively easy. My
TNC
 is now a desk ornament.

Unfortunately, if the Internet is down, so would many of the packet
nodes... At least around here. Our connection to the cluster backbone
used to be via a chain of RF nodes in NNY... And it would be down for
months at a time during the summer months when lightening would take out
a node or two in the Adirondacks... It hasn't been worth maintaining for
years now...
