Re: [Elecraft] [K3] Modular Jack?
Hi John, This is a programming jack used only in our K3 production and test. It currently does not have another use. 73, Eric WA6HHQ Elecraft John Frerichs wrote: > I've just finished assembling my K3 and cannot find any reference as to the > purpose for the modular jack at the bottom, front, right part of the radio. > I've searched on-line and through the message archives, as well as scanned > through the Owner's Manual PDF for the key words "modular" and "jack" to no > avail. Well at least you tried ;) If you searched for "front panel rj45", you might have found: http://n2.nabble.com/FP-ACC-Function-%3D---td1383427.html#a1383427 BTW, on the topic of mailing lists practices - please don't start new threads by replying to old ones and changing the subject line - that leaves references to the old messages (that you don't see) and continues the old thread. ~Iain / N6ML __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Elecraft] [K3] Modular Jack?
Seems the folks in Aptos use it for testing purposes in factory built rigs. I think there is an alternate purpose in its future. Stay tuned for further developments :) Kevin. [Elecraft] [K3] Modular Jack?
I've just finished assembling my K3 and cannot find any reference as to the purpose for the modular jack at the bottom, front, right part of the radio. I've searched on-line and through the message archives, as well as scanned through the Owner's Manual PDF for the key words "modular" and "jack" to no avail. I see it in the Operating Manual (p76) and several places in the Assembly Manual, but don't see any reference to it. What is the purpose of this jack? If this has been answered elsewhere and I've missed it, my apologies.
