There are hidden references in profiles that you don't see, usually referring to public folders. Prior to powering down, did you move all public folders to the new server and remove all instances from the old server? Did you change the home public folder store for the mailbox store to point to the new server? Those would help reduce this problem. There profiles are still pointing to the old box. probably free/busy is pointing to the old server's site name (admin group).
