RE: Messages dissapearing from my inbox in Outlook 2000 !!!
Don't know if this applies, but had a customer setup there own connection on thier Laptop and created a Personal Folder. By doing this, it sucked all his message OFF the server so that when he went on his desktop, he didn't have his message's anymore. Could it be someone setup your address on their computer and created a PST? I have never seen this before! Occasionally, all the messages in my inbox (Outlook 2000 and Exchange 5.5 sp3) are disappearing with no way to get them back even from the Outlook recovery option. Subfolders are not affected. Archiving is not enabled. Does not look to be a virus as the messages had been there a few hours and the anti-virus on the server would have picked it up right of way. I seem to be the only one affected I am the Exchange Admin so if its a hacker, hes picking on the right person. I am not suspecting a prank from anyone of my colleagues with admin rights. No filters are enabled in Outlook. I did a search for those mail pieces with no results. Is it a hacker? What can I do? Any comments? Perplexed Don! Outllok 2000 Contacts
In Outlook 2000 running on Windows 2000, when you click New (message) and then click To:, it says that the file associated with this address book is missing. All the contacts are in the contacts file. How do I re-associate the contacts with the address book, or make the Contacts the addresss book? Can this be done?
Have an Exchange Server V5.5 (SP4) running on an NT Server (SP6a). The drive is set up as C and D partitions. Exchange was installed on the D partition. Would I be able to install a second hard drive, format it, then renane the D partition to E and assign the Letter D to the new drive, then copying the exchange folders to the new drive. The current D drive (partition) is running out of space, even after many attempted try's to get people to delete old mail and attachments. Would this work. Will exchange still run? Forward Internet E-Mail
Is it possible to have your incoming e-mail on an Exchange Server V5.5 forwarded to your separate internet account and have this done by the server? For example, I receive In Company and Internet mail via our exchange server. I am going to be gone for 2 weeks and do not have dial-in access to get my e-mail, however, I have another internet account on say AOL. Can I have the server forward ALL of my E-Mail to my AOL account and if so, can someone point me in the right direction. Default Mail Program
How does one make Outlook the default mail program when you want to use the Send To feature of either Word or IE. I have 2 boxes that for some reason, now want to use Outlook Express instead of Outlook 2000. Both are running Windows NT WS 4 w/SP6A and used to use Outlook, but now want to use Outlook Express. Both have IE V5.5 installed too. Re-Installed Office 2000 but it did not correct problem. Is there a registry setting for this? Exchange 5.5
Title: New Exchange 2000 server installation I may have to admin an Exchange V5.5 box, so I was thinking about setting one up at home to experiment on. Before I do, can you setup an Exchange 5.5 box to go out to your ISP's pop and retrieve your e-mail? All the boxes at home are setup as individual Outlooks and grab their own mail from our ISP. Can I setup Exchange (5.5) to do this instead and then distribute to clients as they poll for the mail? Thanks John List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm

Lost Folders
What might cause someone to lose the folders they created in there Outlook? The setup is NT 4.0 Sever W SP6A, Exchange Server V5.5 with SP4.
