YEA!! ME TOO.. But here's MY drawback.. I *mostly* run enlight/gnome.
On occasion I will run
KDE. If I set my color to 32 bit, Netscape looks fine, but KDE
displays all images ( say from Kviewer )
in B&W.

If I set it for 24bit, Netscape looks like a mutated hack, but I have
color in KDE.

I wrote KDE they said it was my video drivers.

I'm running a CL Voodoo Banshee using the drivers off CL's site.
I have also used the Darryl Straus drivers with the same result.

Enlight/Gnome works fine in 24 bit.

Seems like KDE has a problem to me..

16bpp here, netscape icons go black on me when i use the FBDev Xserver,
but i thought it looked kinda neat that way so i didn't bother looking
into it.

I'd suggest trying 32 bit. 24bit color (at least here), screws up the
color on the icons in Netscape. Don't know if it's an X server issue or
a Netscape issue.

the problem is that you don't have your color depth set
high enough if you can try running your video card with 24
bit color

[expert] WordPerfect problems

1999-08-28 Thread nealjunk

Hi,
I just installed WordPerfect off the Mandrake Powerpack 6.0 apps
CD.
None of the Icons appear in the program... I just get framw buffer
noise where the Icons should be.

Any idea?
