[Bug 428568] Review Request: synfig - Synfig is a vector based 2D animation package

But thanks for the suggestion, I'll add this in the next spin of the package, which is after I get a full review. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Fedora-package-review mailing list Fedora-package-review@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-package-review

Would iverilog be nice to have? Definitely yes. Should its presence at the same time with OVM be mandatory ? Absolutely not. Users might be using EDA software from other sources. Actually I bet that 99% percent of them are using commercial tools and I also bet that in an enterprise environment they always will. In the company I work for we use several commercial EDA tools. Since July 2008 the number of engineers interacting with OVM increased from 2 to 25 and their number will increase in the future [, depending on the projects that end / new projects that start]. How would not the presence of OVM in a repository enhance these users' experience ? As sysadmin I would definitely have preferred to do "yum install ovm.el4" instead of "tar xzf ovm-2.0.tar.gz" For what it's worth and completely unrelated, we have a very small team of courageous people who use gtkwave from EPEL when the number of licenses for the commercial tool is insufficient. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Fedora-package-review mailing list Fedora-package-review@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-package-review

The description tag cannot refer to anything but the chordii package, hence "This is a description of a utility called chordii." is redundant. The starting phrase of the second paragraph should be modified accordingly, for instance "The purpose of chordii is to provide guitar players with [...]" Please examine if the build process can take advantage of compiling in parallel on several processors ( http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/Guidelines#Parallel_make ) If the program doesn't build with it, please add a comment otherwise please use it. It would also be a good idea to also add INSTALL="install -p" to the make line, this should preserve the timestamps of the man pages. Please also take a look at the Makefile, according to http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=1092213&name=build.log the manpages are installed twice. It's not critical now but, if I am not mistaken, patching the Makefile in order to remove the redundant lines (if this is the case) would be a good idea. Did you submit any other packages ?
