ComponentDescription is now defined in CoreServices and adding #include fixed things and doesn't interfere with 10.5. It looks like it might work in this case too. And I can confirm that the issue occurs indeed on 32bit 10.6 (though this is suprisingly the first report I got on the issue). I know several ways to work around the issue, but so far I like none, esp. since I want the package to still work on 10.5. I'll tell you once I committed one of them. For now, I am a bit ill and need to get sleep.
