Hate to make you all envious...
This message is from: "Gwenn Berard Beaupre" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hate to make you all envious... but I happen to have the hands down winner, world champion, best you have ever seen mud puppy fjord out in my paddock right now. Sonja in all her (1330 lbs plus) glory is no longer a lovely brown dun, but a solid bay, no markings. Who said fjords don't have lots of different colours?? When she arrived we used the weight tape on her.. it goes up to 1330 lbs, but left an inch of horse at the end, with no tape... I have to scrape enough mud off her to get the tape around a clean spot to check her weight again, but she now happily trots around the paddock chasing the ponies, who are not quite so happy. Yesterday I came out of the barn into the paddock with an armload of hay and she suddenly realized it was grocery time from the other end of the paddock. It is some impressive to see that much horse coming straight at you at a full canter. Amazingly enough I held my ground, she arrived, screeching to a halt a couple feet away, sooo daintily accepted a nibble, then cantered around the paddock with an incredibly floaty, beautiful gait. I groom her to beautiful every second day, then open the door and watch her "Clairol girl colour change moment". She takes three steps and drops like a king-sized mattress down a staircase, WHUMPH! Straight into the deepest mud she can find. Yup, she's a champion all right! I cant wait for all the clean snow to arrive! 2006 Norwegian Fjord Calendar
This message is from: "Carol Tacey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi All, There is still time to receive you ALL Fjord Calendar by Christmas. This is the first ever all Fjord Calendar, you will love it! www.painteasy.com/calendar.html Read the reviews Hi Carol, You can quote me on this: I ordered 6 Fjord calendars from painteasy and was extremely happy with: 1. The very high artistic quality of the calendar 2. The ease of ordering 3. The speed of delivery (cross country in 2 days) (Next year I hope you get some good photos including kids) Sylvia Riddle Teddy Bear Fjords Spokane, WA . Has everyone seen the new Norwegian Fjord Horse 2006 Calendar? Carol Tracey did a great job with it. The photos are impressive. I really love the winter scenes. The April one of Rusty in a stock pen holding a calf at the end of a rope really caught my eye. I remember seeing Rusty in the stone boat pull in Libby many years ago. He's only a little guy but he could out pull the big guys. Also check out the month of June, the month of sweet clover. You'll see why I'm partial to it. Pat Wolfe Ontario, Canada August 25, 2005 . . I bought a copy of Carol Tacey's calendar, and highly recommend it. Dave Dave McWethy Port Townsend, WA August 25, 2005 . .Hi, in regards to the Fjord calendar produced by Carol Tacey, I got one of the calendars this weekend at the NFHA Fjord Show. It is a very professional looking calendar that could easily be sold with the other calendars at any retail store. So the price is a real bargain. The best part about the calendar is the large and extremely good pictures of Fjords. You will not be disappointed in the calendar. Take care! Curt Pierce Mathias, WV August 25, 2005 . . I saw your calendar at Curt Pierce's place this past weekend. It is truly beautiful and professionally done. Very nice! Shows the versatility of the breed. Re: fjordhorse-digest V2005 #267
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hey Fjord Folk, Thank you for caring. I got all kinds of helpful responses to my Avastin dilemma. Prayers are good too. We got Cinnamon (50 year old pony) up this morning before my husband left for work. our young tenants helped (2nd year vet student and her hubby.) I keep him alive because I am fond of him, and the getting up, and lack of teeth are his only problems. Senior feed to the rescue! He cooperates 100% and never struggles as he is way used to the procedure. He only weighs 450 or so, I'm not sure we could do it with a Fjord. An idea for Christmas stocking stuffers. A spring clip key ring. My daughter gave me one, and since then I have never had problems finding my keys. I keep the clip on the handle rings of my purse, and always put the keys on it when I take them out of the ignition. Good for forgetful people and others too. The things to be thankful for list jogged my memory. Cheers and go pat a Fjord for me! Alex
