Re: Information on sleighs carriages
This message is from: Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks for the great link Pamela! The restoration information will definitely come in handy :) Ours is in pretty good shape considering the age. I can't believe it's that old! We're pretty proud of it and now we can't wait for Thor to grow up so we can drive him :) Cathey -- * Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/1218/ http://www2.crosswinds.net/~chinbit/index.html [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.science-tech.nmstc.ca/maindex.cfm?idx=1242language=englishmuseum= satfunction=link Try that website, or if you are on AOL, click here A HREF=http://www.science-tech.nmstc.ca/maindex.cfm?idx=1242language=englishm useum=satfunction=linkWelcome to the Museum of Science and Technology/A Not sure if the link to click on will work on a mailing list. But this is a site about McLaughlin, and it appears they went out of business in 1915. Looks like they made beautiful carriages. Bet your new (to you) carriage is gorgeous! Pamela
Information on sleighs carriages
This message is from: Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi all! I was wondering if anyone has any information or can direct me to any information regarding the McLaughlin Carriage Co. Ltd from Oshuwa, Ontario. Today my dad just arrived with a sleigh that has their name on the back of it. What a surprise that was! My husband and I want to learn more about them if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cathey -- * Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/1218/ http://www2.crosswinds.net/~chinbit/index.html
Re: rubbing tail
This message is from: Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Someone posted some information on this subject awhile ago and I meant to print it out but forgot. My horse has been rubbing his tail for the past year and now the top is completely bald. We've tried everything. He's wormed every two months so we couldn't see it being that. We did think it was boredom but someone mentioned in their post about tiny mites or sometimes. If anyone can forward me that info, it would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks, Cathey -- * Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/1218/ http://www2.crosswinds.net/~chinbit/index.html
Re: To shoe or not to shoe
This message is from: Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks Bonnie! I have to say that I'm a little partial though :) This past weekend he was halter broke. I'm glad you liked my site. I had yours already bookmarked and will visit often :) Thanks again, Cathey -- * Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/1218/ http://www2.crosswinds.net/~chinbit/index.html B. Just got back into town after being gone three days - I had to go down to Redding, CA to see my grandson get married. Wow, it is HOT in Redding!! 113 yesterday, and today I fled home! A, S.W. To shoe or not to shoe
This message is from: Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi all! I was wondering how many of you shoe and don't shoe your Fjords in the summer. The breeder I got Thor from does not shoe his herd in the summer, only in the winter (with corks). It looks like their feet are tough and they look much tougher than my Apps but I'm just curious as to what others do. Eventually (when he's old enough), I will be using him on trail rides and driving him as well. Our landscape can get pretty dry out here in the summer and that means a lot of rocks sometimes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW, you can check out Thor's new pictures at http://www2.crosswinds.net/~chinbit/Page11.htm. I hope you enjoy :) Cathey -- * Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/1218/ http://www2.crosswinds.net/~chinbit/index.html
New to list
This message is from: Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi everyone! I'm new to the list and would like to introduce myself and share my good news :) My name is Cathey Magill and I live on the east coast of Canada. I'm married with no children but we have plenty of pets to keep us busy! I have been riding for almost 20 years now (Ack!) and have had an Appaloosa gelding. Just this past weekend, I finally bought a dream horse - my very first Fjord :) He is only three weeks old but just a lovey. He is going to be a brown dun and be between 14.2 -15 hh. If he's going to look anything like his dad, I'll be so happy but I'm just happy with him anyway. He won't be weaned until at least November so I have weekend drives ahead of me. He's only an hour away but I miss him already :) Anyway, I hope to get to know some of you better over time. I'm more of a lurker than anything but I enjoy reading the posts :) Cathey -- * Cathey Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/1218/
