Do you have sound functionality at all? Did you remember to load it into your kernel (either in the kernel itself or by loading the kernel module)? I had a big problem yesterday with the PC. Don't want to get into that but I had to reinstall.. Now that I did a reinstall I can play the video in mplayer but no sound. For example I am tryin to play the new IBM/Linux commercial located here http://rxns-rbn-sea02.rbn.com/ibmpdc/pdc/open/qtdemand/aug03/prodigy90_med.mpg The vid plays fine but no sound at all this time..
