[Audyssey] in case anyone interested Fwd: Of Love And Sorrow - Now Available!
-- Forwarded message - From: Date: Mon, Aug 8, 2016 at 12:02 Subject: Of Love And Sorrow - Now Available! To: Of Love And Sorrow - Now Available! (A new game from the Smugglers 5 & Dead But Alive developers) "Of Love And Sorrow" is now available on Steam and direct from the developer at www.nielsbauergames.com . It´s a gripping 120,000 word interactive novel where the choices you decide to make, create the story and there is a launch discount of 40% for 1 week on Steam and 2 weeks on www.nielsbauergames.com. It is 1841, twenty years before the American Civil War. The North is entering the early days of industrialization, while the South remains bound to tradition and agriculture. With arguments on both sides over slavery and military expansion, this still young nation is on the brink of being torn apart. Of Love And Sorrow is a 120,000 word interactive novel following the story of two young brothers from the South, separated by war, love and betrayal. Starting with their ambition to become officers at the Westpoint Academy, the choices you make will direct the story - their lives, their loves, their very destiny is up to you. Who will you be? Are you an abolitionist, or do you fight to keep the slaves that work your family's plantation? Do you believe in the honor and duty of a cadet, or are you a gambling and whoring dandy? Will you stay faithful to your true love, Caroline, who is waiting for you to return from the Academy, or will you break her heart? And when fate forces you to choose between your brother and your duty, which will you choose? Largely text-based, let the power of your imagination take you back to another time and place. Every decision you make has repercussions. Will you help a young slave girl against a mean overseer or look the other way? Are you a good cadet, or are you a trouble-maker? Whatever you decide, it´s your choices that will determine the story. Key features: • A gripping 120,000 word interactive novel • Your choices determine the story • High-resolution, carefully hand-drawn art style • Straight or gay romances and amorous pictures • Historical setting - experience America as it was in the 1840 The game includes a blind compatibility mode (a self-voicing feature). Re: [Audyssey] Manamon: Space Game
Glad you got it fixed, that was a very strange problem. All the best, Dark. - Original Message - From: "Tobias Vinteus" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Sunday, August 07, 2016 11:20 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Manamon: Space Game Hi again, Alert cancelled. What miracles a little drivers update can bring. Now the spacecraft behaves like they should. First of all, is the sounds of the incoming ships supposed to be in mono, or is that a bug? If it's really supposed to be in mono, how the heck am I supposed to know where the ships are? I've tried to bothtap and long press teh arrow keys to see if I can hear any difference, but with no luck there. Is it like the classic Space Invaders in that you have to move the cannon and then fire vertically upwards or does it actually aim two-dimentionally when you press teh arrows? Confusion is the way to enlightenment, as they say. Thanks, Tobias --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. When I played the space game, I heard the ships in sterrio on either the left or right, and as with pretty much every audio space invaders game since the year dot, the objective is just to center each ship and blast it before it lands. You do this by tapping the arrow keys to move your gun to below where the ship is (center it's sound), and then hitting enter or space to shoot. Holding the arrows won't work in this one, actually it reminded me a little of the air hockey from paladin of the skies. Certainly the ships appear in sterrio, I don't know why you are hearing them in mono, unless it's your speakers or headphones, I was playing on headphones myself and had no problem. I will say you need to get good at the game, or at least be passable since there is an area later that requires you to get a reaasonable score to progress. Hth.
