Re: [Audyssey] messages appearing in my spam folder
Hi, It all depends on the message content. A spam filter will usually look for certain words or phrases, and if they match, bam. It puts them in your spam folder, even though they may be genuine. That's precisely why they will give you an interface where you can check each message. For example, I get a single email every day telling me which message have been filtered as spam the previous day with a deliver link next to it, so that if I believe they are genuine I can click deliver and it will take it to my inbox for my inspection. Re: [Audyssey] messages appearing in my spam folder
Hi Jack, As Damien said weather your ISP or the spam filtering software they use flags us as spam has nothing to do with us. We have no control over that. If you are getting messages in your spam folder you may need to talk to your ISP/e-mail provider and ask them why messages from the list are being labeled as spam. This is just a guess on my part, but there probably recently was a spammer on one of the Audyssey servers, using a different domain than ours, and as a result your ISP simply black listed all IP Addresses or domains associated with that server and we got caught up in the black list unintentionally. This sort of thing has happened to us before, and I've had to talk to ISPs and convince them that we are not spamming their customers regardless of what their spam software thinks. You can help move things along by getting in touch with your e-mail provider and asking them if we are black listed etc and find out why they are placing our posts into your spam box. Cheers! Re: [Audyssey] messages appearing in my spam folder
Hi, I'm not sure, but it is something to do on your end of things. For whatever reason either your ISP or your spam software has identified any messages dealing with the audyssey.org domain as spam. You might want to see if your ISP has black listed us for some reason as that shouldn't be anything to do with us. This does bbring up an interesting thought though. I am getting the Audyssey list traffic just fine, but others are saying they aren't getting it or it is delayed. It is not out of the relm of possibility that our servers, that is to say our web host, was black listed by some ISPs and therefore certain customers wouldn't get our messages delivered to them as the ISP would automatically route everything into box trapper or some other spam filtering software.
