Similar to the runtimes and such where we're downstream resyncing to the
upstream sources is always OK in stage1. Feel free to commit whenever

Please update config.sub from GNU config

2016-05-11 Thread Jakub Sejdak
Hello,

I'm currently working on port for new OS for both binutils and GCC. My
patches depend on config.sub, which has been recently updated for
Phoenix OS.
Please synchronize, so I could test and send my patches here later on.

Thanks,
Jakub

JFTR: to apply this patch to config.sub and config.guess is
not the way to do it; not a valid request. Review of patches
here is not correct: do that upstream. Someone please import
the newest upstream version is the way to go. Done (to
714957f9 aka. 2015-01-01) also for gdb+binutils. I thought we
had this written down somewhere, but maybe it's only in the
gdb+binutils MAINTAINERS file.

 Hello everyone,

I wasn't sure if I needed approval for this patch or not, but better
be safe than sorry. I'll apply to both GCC and then src when I receive
confirmation that it's OK to apply.

I would like to update the config.sub script to the latest version
from the official config repo. The bits that I need are just the
ones related to LynxOS, but I figured it'd be better be consistent
with the official version. I can change the patch to just commit
the one hunk for LynxOS, if people prefer. But I think we'd become
 inconsistent.

This is OK from a GCC perspective. If you don't receive objections from
the binutils/gdb folks in the next 24 I suggest you go ahead and check
it in.

Update config.sub

2011-03-24 Thread Joseph S. Myers
I've updated config.sub to the latest version from config.git. This will
facilitate further cleanups by ensuring that certain obsolete triplets can
never appear as canonical hosts or targets in gcc or src builds.
