[gentoo-web-user] Spam?
Is anyone else getting flooded with spam in the form of fake paypal security notices? I've probably had 12 today alone. I can't tell if it's coming through the list or just pretending... -- "When you walk across the fields with your mind pure and holy, then from all the stones, and all growing things, and all animals, the sparks of their soul come out and cling to you. And then they are purified, and become a holy fire in you." -- Ancient Hasidic Saying -- gentoo-web-user@gentoo.org mailing list

Yeah, it's coming through the list, although the antispam setup on woodpecker is doing a good job filtering it out for me. -- Renat Lumpau all things web-apps C6A838DA 04AF B5EE 17CB 1000 DDA5 D3FC 1338 ADC2 C6A8 38DA pgpdmlrl8gkRn.pgp Description: PGP signature

No offence to any of you, but could we please stop discussing the spam now? I'm sure the admins are aware of and can deal with it Regardless, you should all be savvy enough to set up your own filtering software if you see the need. Keep in mind that hundreds of other people are on this list aside from yourself, and every one of them has been sent all the same messages as you. It may also pay to remember that if someone can post spam, then they can certainly monitor the lists and add your email addresses to their databases when you post.. (especially now that you've put up your hand as taking notice of their emails!)
