I haven't used UFRaw in a while, but I remember that that option and some others were available only if you start UFRaw as a standalone application, not as a GIMP plug-in. So as a workaround you can run UFRaw separately and save the photos as PNGs to open in GIMP. Luckily Darktable exists now so one doesn't have to bother with UFRaw on Linux anymore. ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

It's the same in GIMP. Since raw data can't really be autodetected you need to select "raw image data" as the file type in the File open dialog. ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

Another thing is that netbooks have poor TFT LCD screens that aren't very good when it comes to color. Graphic design with with a predefined palette might be fine, but I wouldn't touch up photos with a netbook. As a test I tried running Argyll CMS with my colorimeter on my Asus 1000HE display. It did all but scream in pain. -- Ville Pätsi ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

If you use RAW, many enhancements that your camera normally does are not done, among them sharpening. Depending on your camera you might have a setting in your camera to select how much sharpening is done on processed images. You can use either the Sharpen filter or Unsharp mask to sharpen your imported RAW photo in GIMP. -- Ville Pätsi ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
Re: [Gimp-user] 2.0Pre, rpmbuild does not build on MDK9.2
These 5.4K bytes were from Thomas Spuhler, > I am not so certain that it is the spec file: > I may missing a library or something. I get this at the end: The spec file won't work in 2.0pre3 because some elements that it requires were removed. They have been readded after the mistake was realised. The rpm building should work again in 2.0pre4. ___ Gimp-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
