Re: [GLLUG] Web hosting
Dear all, Thanks to everyone who replied. I went with mythic beasts in the end, though am thinking it would be a good idea to spread my (too) many sites over a couple of hosts, and will be keeping other options in mind. Thanks very much! john On 16/01/2020 08:19, Dave Lambley via GLLUG wrote: On Wed, 15 Jan 2020 at 23:30, John Levin via GLLUG wrote: Dear all, As I'm having major problems with my web host tsohost (who I'm with only because they took over my previous host, evohosting) I'm now looking for somewhere else to hold my various websites. Can anyone suggest a decent web host, using linux servers? I've not yet used them myself, but Mythic Beasts do that kind of thing and are fairly well regarded. https://www.mythic-beasts.com/hosting Cheers, Dave -- John Levin http://www.anterotesis.com http://twitter.com/anterotesis https://hcommons.org/members/johnlevin/ -- GLLUG mailing list GLLUG@mailman.lug.org.uk https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/gllug

Another option might be BitFolk - https://bitfolk.com/ - who are similarly clueful. With them it would be a case of having your own entire VPS, but one of the many things which you could do with it is web hosting. [GLLUG] Web hosting
Dear all, As I'm having major problems with my web host tsohost (who I'm with only because they took over my previous host, evohosting) I'm now looking for somewhere else to hold my various websites. I'm considering Positive, though they are the most pricey option. Also Reclaim Hosting, who are big in academia, but I'm slightly wary of hosting in the USA. Can anyone suggest a decent web host, using linux servers?
