This would be the right way to do it. Except, there isn't a way to get
it information at the client right now.

This is easy with trusted storage pool access, one has to determine if
server1 and server2 belong to same trusted storage pool or not.
However, if one does not have a trusted storage pool access, is it
possible to achieve the same?

[Gluster-devel] mechanism to match volume identity

2016-10-26 Thread Raghavendra Talur
HI,

Is there any method to determine if volume "myvol" accessible through
volfile server "server1" is same as volume "myvol" accessible through
volfile server "server2"?

This is easy with trusted storage pool access, one has to determine if
server1 and server2 belong to same trusted storage pool or not. However, if
one does not have a trusted storage pool access, is it possible to achieve
the same?

Thanks,
