Re: Blurred fonts with uhd 4k monitor and scaling under windows 10
I had a similar problem with windows10. At higher resolutions, text seemed “fuzzy” and some characters appeared to be missing pixels. I chalked it up to lesser resolutions from my integrated video chipset. But... interestingly, my O/S went south on me. I decided I had had enough of Widows and converted to Linux. Poof! Problem gone. I’m wondering if it’s just a problem with Windows. I would check to see if your video card can handle high enough resolutions, or if your O/S is limited to lower resolutions. I know not much in the way of help, but I figured I’d share my experience in the hope you can benefit somehow. Machine crashed need some info repreated to me
Hello, Yeah I knowDidn't he write it down? I apologize. Some kind person gave me the settings for connecting to TechCu. Background: I made a copy of the settings and stored them on my GnuCash machine (Windows10). Then unthinkable happened Window$ went black on me and never booted up again. I decided it was time to use Linux. I finally got everything running, downloaded and installed GnuCash no problem. When I go to setup online banking I realized I had forgotten the settings for TechCu. Thus this note. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Re: Cannot edit opening balance
I guess I stated the issue improperly. I was trying to edit the opening balance after a reconciliation attempt had failed. The reconciliation difference was exactly the amount of the opening on my paper statement. I then realized I had not entered an opening balance amount (using the opening balances tab) when I created the account. I then entered an opening balance via the Equity:Opening Balances account. When I attempted the reconciliation, the “starting balance” in the reconciliation window displayed a deficit amount instead of the amount I had entered in the Equity account. I tried several measures in an attempt to get the negative amount in the reconciliation to reset to the newly entered opening balance. These included but were not limited to,. 1. Deleting the previously entered opening balance, hoping I could return to the original state Result: Negative starting balance remained unchanged 2. Unreconciled all previously reconciled transactions and reattempted reconciliation. Result: Same Negative balance displayed, 3. Reverted to one of the backup files dated before the first reconciliation. Result: Same Negative amount displayed. Hopefully this sheds some light on the discussion.
