Hi Grace

You can find a a particular transaction in an account using either the 
Transaction Report or the Find Transaction facility (Edit / Find) from 
within the account's register.


Both methods support "regular expressions" which extend the capabilities 
of the Filters beyond a mere "find this text" search.


GnuCash supports what are known as POSIX Regular Expressions, and you

Note, regular expressions are cAsE sensitive.

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of the syntax for the report 
filters. I need to select particular transaction from an account, and I 
don't see any guidance in the help. A google search didn't get me 
anywhere either.
