Samir, let me take off from another angle... which links up with your
subject-line.
There are better ways to make Rs 50K in today's Goa and in the wider
reality of India. Do you think the way the accused are allegedly to
have chosen reflects (i) a lack of imagination (ii) poor awareness or
training (iii) just the easy way out and buying into the 'glamour' of
the easy money that crime supposedly brings?
In your view, what are the options that youth here could be offered a
chance to fulfil their aspirations, without necessarily thinking
polluting industry, out-migration or crime? Just curious to see what
the other thoughts on this issue are...
