Africa, 1865 - 1980, was released by Lib Dem Councillor, Rabi Martins at

Oral Histories of British-Goans Project, undertaken by the Goan
Association,
UK. A minute's silence was observed for those who participated in the
project but have since departed. Selma Carvalho, Project Manager, said it
was a triumph for East African Goans in Britain to have preserved such a
vital part of their heritage in the form of audio and video recordings, and
documented it on a book. For a video presentation, 32m. 05s. Go to:

COMMENT: Three days ago and not a single post of applause or appreciation.
Really polished, interviewee, worthwhile £38.5K. We have preserved for
posterity...A Railway runs through..pretty sad, we have Phds, Doctors,
Surgeons, Partner Accountants, Partner Lawyers as portrayed on G.V. (U.K.)
day in and day out - not one of them came forward for this project!
May be it's just me and I missed it all.
